Yogi2Go.com Offers In-Flight Yoga Classes in MP3 Audio for Travelers

Travelers will find an entire suite of MP3 yoga classes on Yogi2Go.com that help alleviate the stress, back aches, and fatigue of air travel. The In-Flight suite is downloadable to iPods, computers, MP3 players or mobile phones.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 1, 2006 -- Travelers will find an entire suite of MP3 yoga classes on Yogi2Go.com that help alleviate the stress, back aches, and fatigue of air travel. The In-Flight suite is downloadable to iPods, computers, MP3 players or mobile phones.

Record producer Mark Governor came home from his vacation in Thailand and spoke with his yoga studio owner, Tracee Stanley-Newell, about creating a yoga class he could do on the airplane. “I had this excruciating fourteen hour flight. Who can sit still that long? And the flight crew really doesn’t want you walking around the plane. I was wishing I knew some yoga I could do in my seat.”

The idea for Yogi2Go.com came together when Tracee Stanley-Newell, yoga studio owner/film producer and Mark Governor joined forces to record yoga classes in a professional recording studio with qualified teachers. Newell says, “Yogi2Go.com eliminates time spent trying to find a great class in a foreign country, remote location, or unfamiliar city.”

With the In-Flight Yoga suite, all of the classes are designed to be done while waiting for your flight, at the hotel, or within the confines of your airplane seat. The classes give travelers the tools to maximize comfort while flying, rejuvenate after a long flight, and ease the anxiety of flying. The practices are each between fifteen minutes and half an hour.

“I had plenty of free time in Thailand, and wanted to practice yoga, but couldn’t find a class taught in English. I imagined other travelers in other countries must be having the same experience,” says Governor. “And people who practice with a regular teacher want to be able to take that teacher with them when they go on a trip.”

Tracee Stanley-Newell says, “About a year and a half ago I made a do-it-yourself copy of one of my yoga classes and gave it to friends and students. A few students moved away to remote areas and sent me very moving letters about how much having the class meant to them, as they would not be able to practice otherwise. I was further inspired when a friend told me she had loaded my class on her iPod and that she and her friend were practicing to my class everyday in Costa Rica.”

Yogi2Go.com also plans to expand its travel section in the months ahead. “There will be a practice for commuters to help de-stress on the road or in traffic. There will be a beach yoga practice, and even a practice called "Yoga for Stiff Guys.” Currently on the site are additional classes to supplement travel like Yoga for Low Back Release, Yoga for Difficult Times, Restorative Yoga, Agni Flow Intermediate, and Beginner's Gentle Flow.

About Yogi2Go.com:
Mark Governor has had a long and celebrated career as a recording producer, film composer and writer. He has written and produced music for many feature films and TV series, including Johnny Depp's directorial debut, "The Brave", which he scored with Iggy Pop. Tracee Stanley-Newell shares a career as yoga studio owner and successful film producer. Living yoga for over ten years led her to become the co-founder of Divine Motion Yoga, which was voted the best yoga studio in Los Angeles by CitySearch.com in 2002 and 2004 before relocating the studio to the Mt. Shasta area in 2005 where she lives with her husband Everett Newell. She is currently producing the film “Bordertown” starring Jennifer Lopez and Antonio Banderas.
