New Poker Book, 'Practical Low and No Limit Texas Hold'em Ring Games,' Reminds Poker Players the Basics They Tend to Forget in Low Limit Ring Games

"Practical Low and No Limit Texas Hold'em Ring Games" book hits the web and stores and is helpful tool to refresh the basics and see if one's game is profitable.

West Hills, CA (PRWEB) May 9, 2006 -- New poker book, "Practical Low and No Limit Texas Hold'em Ring Games" by Kim Isaac Greenblatt, comes out to help poker players remember some of the basics of low limit poker.

"A lot of low limit Texas Hold'em players get lazy after awhile and they get hurt in their purses or wallets," states the author, Kim Isaac Greenblatt. "The book serves as a reminder of the things that they know and should be doing but aren't. I know because I am human and tend to make the same mistakes. The trick to playing is to first, see if you are a winning player, second, if not, tighten up the game, and third, start tracking one's winnings honestly. A lot of players get burnt out after going to card clubs or playing online and losing money 'for fun'. There is nothing fun about losing. A lot of poker books also treat poker playing like a business and frankly, since I don't know how must people handle their businesses I think that is an incorrect approach. Above all, playing poker whether it is Texas Hold'em, Omaha 8 or whatever, should be fun. I personally hate poker but I have gotten good enough to the point that my wife sends me out to play cards. That is probably an enviable position for some people but not for me!"

Ever since the dawn of time
The book reminds players of the basics of low limit Hold'em, things that they should already know but tend to forget. The book reviews an approach for playing low limit ring games, reviews a low limit gaming session and explains how to calculate the binomial distribution formula for making an attempt to predict how well the player will do in future games.

"Ever since the dawn of time," Greenblatt adds, "people have tried to predict the future. By patiently tracking honestly one's performance one can make an educated guess as to how one might expect to do over the course of future sessions."

The author, Kim Isaac Greenblatt, is a technical specialist and hates poker. Part of the proceeds from the sales of the book will go to find a cure for Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a disease that affects one out of 15,000 females. Males born with the Rett gene generally die at birth.

The book can be ordered in the United States from the publisher, Barnes and Noble, and soon from Amazon.com and Amazon UK for out of the country sales.
