Freebirds World Burrito to Open its 16th Texas Restaurant, Fourth in College Station

Freebirds World Burrito's 16th Texas location to open in College Station.

(PRWEB) May 10, 2006 -- Freebirds World Burrito, Texas’ favorite fresh fast casual restaurant, will open its fourth restaurant in College Station - its sixteenth restaurant in Texas. The new College Station restaurant is slated to open at 700 Earl Rudder Freeway at the bypass road of Highway 6 and University Drive.

The newest Freebirds World Burrito will sport the restaurant chain’s traditional trade dress elements, which are a blend of metal and wood finishes accented by cloudscapes, brick walls, concrete floors, and a bright yellow and black color scheme. Unique to the fourth College Station location is a tribute to country music legend Johnny Cash with a wall mural depicting ‘The Man in Black’. Also unique to this location is its location in a free-standing building with a pick-up window for pre-placed orders via phone, fax, or online.

"Although we’ve expanded throughout this great state of Texas, we’ve been rolling the best burritos on the planet in College Station since 1990,” said Alan Hixon, COO, Freebirds World Burrito. “We’re thrilled about our growth here and ecstatic about the loyalty from the city we call home.”

Freebirds World Burrito, which has acquired a fanatical following since the chain opened its first store in 1990 in College Station, is known for its funky atmosphere and Monster burritos. The new restaurant will serve their full menu of burritos, salads, quesadillas, tacos, and nachos.

Thus far, Freebirds World Burrito has opened three restaurants in 2006, including NW Houston, Lubbock, and College Station. With the newest College Station location, the company has grown to 16 locations across Texas in the Austin, College Station, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, and San Antonio markets.
