Firm expands intellectual property expertise to San Diego community

As managing partner, Baumgartner will head up the firm’s intellectual property practice in San Diego, which includes patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Prior to joining Achtel Law Firm, Marc was a senior associate at Knobbe, Martens, Olson, and Bear, LLP, the largest intellectual property firm based on the West coast. Marc’s intellectual property practice includes providing patent searches, patent drafting, filing, and prosecution, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, trademark prosecution, cease and desist letters, and licensing and assignment agreements.
Marc has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of technologies, including immunology, gene delivery and therapy, microarrays, virology, bacteriology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, ultrasound, and mechanical devices.
