The new site is structured to fit in with the way the home phone market had moved on within the last few years. It simply asks users to find the cheapest calls for their home by selecting what sort of user they are and when they make the call.
The site is packed full of useful information for the home consumer, including information on the companies you can use for line rental as well as cheap calls. The cheapest line rental deal on the market is currently from Toucan at £8.99 a month. This compares to £11.00 a month with BT, and that’s a saving of over £24 a year before call charges are taken into account.
The results displayed are based on the cheapest annual package fees available for the call types selected. For example, if you select the ‘Anytime Calls’ option you will see that Talk 3 from TalkTalk is top of the list with the lowest annual package fees. But if you want to call the T-Mobile network at weekends then Talk 3 offers one of the less competitive rates.
Comparing international call rates is also made easy. Simply select the country you wish to call, followed by the type of call you make and when you make it. For instance, if you want to call the US on a weekend, your results will show that Toucan and Alpha charge 3p per minute but if you take Toucan’s international call option this call is free.
