Figure Four Weekly to Distribute Pinnacle Wrestling DVDs
The first release, Cutthroat (DVD 120 minutes, $14.95), is headlined by Harry Smith vs. Davey Richards in an AWA Washington State Heavyweight Title match. Smith will be heading to World Wrestling Entertainment in June.
Woodenville, WA (PRWEB) May 14, 2006 -- Figure Four Weekly, LLC agreed this week to become the primary DVD distributor for Washington-based Pinnacle Wrestling. The first release, Cutthroat, features one of Harry Smith's final independent matches prior to his signing with World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. All future DVD releases will be sold online at Figure Four Weekly's website, www.F4Wonline.com, and at live Pinnacle Wrestling events.
Smith is the son of former WWE and WCW star "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, who passed away in 2002. F4Wonline.com reports that Harry Smith will debut for WWE at the June 5th Monday Night Raw television tapings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Figure Four Weekly editor Bryan Alvarez said, "We're pleased that this first release features footage of Harry, because he's got everything WWE looks for in a top star; the pedigree, the size, and the fact that he's young, only 20 years old. Unless something goes wrong, there's no reason he shouldn't be one of the company's top stars within a few years. This will be a fun DVD to look back on."
"I was glad to work with promotions in the U.S. like Pinnacle Wrestling," Smith told SLAM! Sports. "The fact of the matter is I could still be on the independent scene for quite a while and still wouldn't accomplish everything that I would want to accomplish. However, it did not weigh down on the decision too heavily. Going and doing my independent dates was a lot of fun, and I realized that signing means I wouldn't be doing them for a long time again, if at all, but I had to look at my best interests and follow my heart."
Pinnacle Wrestling runs live professional wrestling shows throughout the Puget Sound area. Their next event takes place Saturday, May 20th at the Vision Quest Sports Center in Auburn, WA.
