Property Manager for Shaw Village Shopping Center, a Major Fresno Area Retail Mall and Dining Destination, Announces Plans for Facility Renovation and Expansion

Shaw Village Shopping Center will be renovated and expanded starting in late 2006. The revitalization of this major Fresno area retail mall is expected to be completed by early 2008. Major leasing opportunities for merchants and restaurant operators will result from the renovation program.

Shaw Village Shopping Center, a major shopping and dining destination in the Greater Fresno area of California's Central Valley, will be be renovated and expanded over the next two years. As a result of this work, additional prime leasing opportunities will be available for retail, restaurant, and office tenants.

"We are very pleased at the progress of our design work for this major renovation," said Anoushavan Abrahamian, Chairman of A&O Properties Management, Inc., the management company for the center, "Shaw Village Shopping Center will benefit from this renovation, but will also be significantly impacted by the center's strategic location within the booming economy of California's Central Valley region. We are looking forward to exposing Shaw Village's unusually strong demographic potential, both close-in and through the region, to leading retailers and restaurant operators."

The Shaw Village renovation and expansion will include completely new facade treatments to update the look and street appeal of the center, new architectural icons to create a signature appearance to the center's architecture, as well as new landscaping, seating areas, and dining establishments. A large living Christmas tree is planned for planting at the new central court of the facility. Landscapers are scouting the Western U.S. for a suitable specimen for transplanting to Shaw Village Shopping Center.

Shaw Village Shopping Center is conveniently located along West Shaw Avenue, the Fresno area's primary corridor for retailing and dining. Wal-Mart anchors a major power retail center next to Shaw Village, facing the center just across West Shaw Avenue. California State University Fresno, is situated just west of Shaw Village.

The planning and development team for the Shaw Village mall revitalization effort includes A&O Properties Management, Inc. as owner's representative and facilities manager, and Stonecreek / Adventure Studios, a leading designer of lifestyle and themed entertainment centers worldwide. Other team members include local area traffic, environmental, leasing, and lighting sub-contractors. Stonecreek LLC will serve as the renovation program design and development project manager, on behalf of the A&O Properties and the center's ownership group.

Shaw Village Shopping Center is known in the Fresno area for its "Power Retailing along West Shaw Avenue," and includes such leading retail merchants as Big Lots, Hometown Buffet, and Rent-A-Center, among many others.
