AIA/CES Registered Provider Turner Construction Company’s Mold Awareness = Moisture Plan Control Course Educates On Mold Prevention

Tuner Construction Company’s one-hour Mold Awareness = Moisture Control online course has been updated so that AIA (American Institute of Architects) members will receive one CES (Continuing Education System) Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) Learning Unit upon completion.

Mold Awareness = Moisture Control online course has been updated so that AIA (American Institute of Architects) members will receive one CES (Continuing Education System) Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) Learning Unit upon completion. The course is available through Turner’s industry-specific online learning website TurnerUniversity.com.

Designed to educate on preventing mold during the construction process, the course includes the following lessons: Mold Overview; Building Design, Materials and Systems; Construction/ Controlling Moisture; Construction Schedule and Sequence; Building Operation and Maintenance; Conclusion; Summary; Assessment and Glossary.

We plan to offer several courses for AIA/CES Learning Units in the near future, including two series: The Building Envelop and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Fundamentals.

Go to Browse Courses by Category and click on Construction Related/ Mold Awareness = Moisture Control/ Buy Now, or click on the Mold Awareness = Moisture Control course ad. (Site registration is required.) Learners must receive an 80 percent or higher to receive their AIA/CES Learning Unit. The cost of the online course is $99.00.

Turner Construction Company recently became an AIA/CES Registered Provider when the company partnered with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to release a three-and-a-half-hour web-based course entitled, Essentials of LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Professional Accreditation, the first online course designed to help professionals prepare for the LEED Professional Accreditation exam. AIA members will receive 3.5 CES Learning Units upon completion of this course, which is available though the USGBC’s website, www.usgbc.org.

The AIA/CES Registered Provider Program
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a member-driven professional association. The primary goal of the Continuing Education Systems (CES) is to provide the best available professional development opportunities to our membership and related industry professionals.

The 77,000 members of the AIA must complete 18 Learning Unit hours of continuing education annually (8 hours of which must be related to Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) topics) to remain in good standing.
