Christian Prison Evangelist To Appear on CBN's 700 Club - Tuesday May 23, 2006

In his final stages of distributing 20,000 copies of his electrifying testimony memoir, "Once Life Matters" to interested prison inmates and substance abusers, prison evangelist Marty Angelo announces his interview with CBN's 700 Club's Scott Ross will air Tuesday May 23, 2006.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 22, 2006 -- Christian prison evangelist Marty Angelo announced today his interview with award winning television host Scott Ross will air on the Christian Broadcasting Network’s 700 Club Tuesday, May 23, 2006.

The interview was conducted in March of this year in Southern California before Angelo’s departure on a five-city prison tour. "My book was just released and I was eager to get it into the hands of inmates.” Angelo remarks, “Ross talked with me at a good time. I was charged up and ready to share my life with him."

The 700 Club is noted for its quick paced format using interesting on-air interviews and videotaped feature stories such as the one produced with Angelo. The segment is similar to a mini-documentary. As they sat together with the beautiful Pacific Ocean and beach as their studio, Ross used his unique interviewing style to get Angelo to talk candidly about his life and many of its sensitive subjects.

The 700 Club’s assignment producer, Michelle Wilson then used her creative skills to combine the interview tape with photos, graphics, and voice overlays to generate a background and visional element that makes the 700 Club’s taped interview feature stories so unique and popular.

The show airs on Tuesday May 23, 2006 at 9:00 AM EDT/6:00 AM PDT. Please check local listings. This program is also repeated on numerous channels at various times.

LATE BREAKING NEWS - Angelo responds to "The Da Vinci Code" book and movie. Marty Angelo was asked this past weekend for his opinion on the truthfulness of the blockbuster book and recently released movie, “The Da Vinci Code” and responded: “It has about as much truth in it as James Frey’s controversial fabricated book, 'In A Million Little Pieces.'” Angelo, who defended Frey both before 'and' after talk show host Oprah Winfrey verbally spanked him on her popular television show. “I feel the same way about the 'Da Vinci Code' movie," Angelo continued, "If it gets people and the media seeking the truth about Jesus Christ the way they did when Frey brought attention to substance abuse then I say ‘let’s go for it.’”

MORE NEWS - Angelo orders 20,000 more copies of his book, “Once Life Matters.” The overwhelming demand from prisons and substance abuse rehabs for Angelo’s book has prompted the foundation that underwrote the initial publishing costs to re-order more books. “The first 20,000 books have almost disappeared overnight,” Angelo remarked. “I have shipped out between 10-12 cases of books everyday for the past three months since its release.”

A big rush recently occurred for Angelo’s book when Chuck Colson’s Prison Fellowship Ministries published a short story about it in its quarterly prisoner newspaper, “Inside Journal.” The popular inmate publication is distributed in every federal and state prison in the United States.

The feedback from both inmates and chaplains has been quite emotional for Angelo who stated, “It is a very humbling experience for me to receive such positive response from everyone. I finally do realize why God had me write this book. It is changing and encouraging people’s lives.” Written inmate and chaplain feedback can be found on Angelo’s website at: martyangelo.com/book.feedback.htm
