When diagnosed with any illness, specifically cancer, the results are often fear and confusion. As a family, we have decided to focus on Pancreatic Cancer Awareness, and provided others with a web based portal on the cancer. We have created http://www.143mimi.com with our goal being simple; a place families can find updated information on Pancreatic Cancer efficiently.

Cancer of the pancreas is a disease in which cancer cells are found in the tissues of the pancreas. The pancreas is about six inches long and is shaped like a thin pear. It lies behind the stomach, inside a loop formed by part of the small intestine. The pancreas has two basic jobs in the body. It produces juices that help digest food, and it produces hormones such as insulin. Here are the staggering facts: In 2006 an estimated amount of new cases of Pancreatic Cancer was 33,730. Of these 33,730 new cases, 32,300 people will die from the cancer. (National Cancer Institute).
