“Daytona” NASCAR Former Pit Crew Woman to Join “Ask Patty” Advisory Board

CarsMagazine.com to launch “Ask Patty” with automotive advisory panel of industry expert women.

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) May 25, 2006 – CarsMagazine.com announced today that “Daytona” Dayton CEO and president of Daytona & Friends Global Enterprises, Inc. will join the automotive advisory panel of industry expert women for “Ask Patty”. The “Ask Patty” website (www.askpatty.com) is launching in May 2006, in conjunction with Carsmagazine.com, to provide a safe place for women to get advice on car purchases, maintenance and other automotive related topics.

“Daytona” Dayton is CEO/President of Daytona & Friends Global Enterprises, Inc., and Producer/Host of Daytona & Friends National Radio Talk which discovers great people making a positive difference for others. She is a motivational speaker, national columnist, an advocate of creating fundraisers to help various children’s charities and founded TEAM CHAMPIONS OF AMERICA to help children’s self esteem. In June 2006, Daytona & Friends will also be aired as a daily noon time local television show, produced by Daytona and her family and syndicated nationally in 2007.

Daytona has worked thirty years in the entertainment industry of music, motor sports and has sung and performed internationally. She was the first female licensed mechanic for NASCAR in 1984, and a former race car driver. Ms. Dayton has hosted radio talk shows for numerous years in a variety of markets, with topics primarily around music and motor sports among others. Daytona is a mother of four children, grandmother of two and loves to snowboard with
her children. Currently she resides in Eagle, Idaho. Website: www.daytona-n-friends.com

In her automotive advisory role, Daytona will respond to questions from consumer women on automotive related topics and assist consumer women by advising them on car purchases, service and other automotive related topics. The “Ask Patty” interactive advice blog is scheduled for release in May of 2006.

"I am very excited about the launch of “Ask Patty”, said Daytona. “ Being chosen to be part of the team of expert automotive advisors is a great opportunity to share my experience and industry knowledge to help consumer women make educated decisions about their automotive needs.”

“Many people, including a surprising number of car dealers, still believe negotiating and buying a vehicle is a man’s job,” says Jody DeVere, President of “Ask Patty.” Obviously, they’re mistaken, 80% of car buying decisions are influenced by women and 50% of car purchases are made by women. “Ask Patty provides women with the advice and information they will need to feel empowered and confident when they negotiate and purchase a new or used vehicle.”

“Ask Patty” will help the dealer to foster trust with each web site visitor, according to Peter Martin, President of CarsMagazine.com.

About Ask Patty:
Women purchase half of the vehicles sold in the United States each year, spending over $80 billion. Yet, shopping for and buying a car can be a challenge for women who are first time car buyers or for women who had a bad experience in the past with a car salesman or dealership.

The “Ask Patty” website is a safe place for women to get advice on car purchases, maintenance and other automotive related topics. Women can ask Patty for automotive advice when they go to www.askpatty.com or, go to www.carsmagazine.com and click on the “Ask Patty” icon. Questions can be submitted to Ask Patty via an interactive blog. Patty will typically reply back to the consumer the same day. Selected questions and answers will be posted on an interactive blog, paneled by automotive women experts for the benefit of all consumer women.
