Altamonte Springs, FL (PRWEB) May 26, 2006 -– Christopher G. Hurn, president of Mercantile Commercial Capital, LLC in Altamonte Springs, was honored as 2006 SBA 504 Banker of the Year by the National Association of Development Companies at the NADCO annual meeting held at Walt Disney World recently. NADCO is the 504 Loan industry’s only trade association, and this is their highest individual honor.

Mercantile Commercial Capital ranks as a leading U.S. provider of financing for small business owners who want to acquire or develop their own facilities.

Small business and enterprise is the backbone of the American economy and we are very strong advocates of that
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 lending program supports small businesses that generate new employment.

Hurn was lauded for his efforts in advocating the SBA 504 loan program by educating the public and small business owners, for his firm’s success in improving the 504 loan process, and for the considerable number of these loans closed by Mercantile Commercial Capital. Hurn said he was overwhelmed by the award.

“Small business and enterprise is the backbone of the American economy and we are very strong advocates of that,” said Hurn.

Last year Mercantile Commercial Capital closed on 47 loans on total projects costs of $48,260,255 and helped create some 350 new jobs, primarily in Florida. The firm set a record for the first quarter of 2006 with 14 loans for some $15 million, generating some 116 new jobs and is well on its way to expanding its offering nationwide.
