Nextshow Entertainment Is Invited To Starlight Capital And MJ Segal Associates Private Equity XVI: National Venture Forum – NYC

Principals from 150+ leading investment partnerships, private equity funds and venture capital firms are expected to attend this event to be held at the Yale Club New York. The upcoming event can provide a highly effective and prestigious venue for management to deliver its vision to a captive audience of receptive investors and direct funding sources. Only twelve to fifteen firms are invited to attend the equity forum each year. NextShow Entertainment of Fort Worth, Texas, is the only technology driven Entertainment Company invited to attend this prestigious event this year.

New York City, New York – June 22nd, 2006 – NextShow Entertainment will unveil its business model which utilizes Internet streaming technology to deliver “on demand” entertainment to the “baby boomer” population of the world. There are millions and millions of consumers who want to hear “their music”. Radio doesn’t play it. Television doesn’t broadcast it. Cable and satellite don’t schedule it.

NextShow Entertainment is the channel they’ve been waiting for.

The faster media networks consolidate, the more today’s consumers get left out in the cold. Namely consumers over the age of 35 who prefer specific genres of music, ranging from Country & Western to Rock, Doo Wop, and other music of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. These consumers with money to spend – in fact, research shows that the over 35 age demographic is responsible for purchasing 52+% of all CDs! Unbelievably, it’s an audience that broadcast media has chosen to neglect, either by providing little-to-no air time, or rehashing vintage hits over and over again to ad nauseam. There will be specific features in multiple forms that focus on the delivery of entertainment for this demographic.

Additionally, NextShow Entertainment’s newly designed website, scheduled for activation on the Internet in December, 2006, will provide comprehensive entertainment for age demographics ranging from 16 years old and up. The new site will include four distinct music models as follows:

  • Subscription based entertainment services
  • ‘a la carte digital downloads w/ no subscription required
  • A comprehensive library of streaming music concerts and documentaries that will be available as pay-per-view entertainment “on demand”
  • A traditional music store front where the consumer orders movies, music CDs, games and DVDs

There are multiple other features being incorporated into the new master site of NextShow Entertainment, that are absent from other major music sites on the Internet today.

NextShow Entertainment is a firm dedicated to technological innovation and design, promoting global partnership in development of state-of-the-art streaming audio and video solutions meeting needs in the areas of Cultural Development, Educational Connectivity, Rapid Humanitarian Response and Social Service Delivery.

Michael Jenkins is a member of the Board of Advisors of the MIT Enterprise Forum – Dallas / Ft. Worth. Mr. Jenkins has served as a guest speaker for the MIT Enterprise Forum on subject matter relating to streaming or broadcasting entertainment over the Internet.
