FS 488 Paint Meter by FenderSplendor Sets Torrid Sales Pace in May, Annihilating Records the Paint Thickness Gauge Set During its Introduction in March and April
New Car Dealers, Automobile Auctions and newly-licensed Used Car Dealers led the buying frenzy in May as FenderSplendor sold over 210 of the new FS 488 Paint Thickness Gauges. Realizing the catastrophic cost of missing paintwork on a used car purchase or trade in, car dealers seek an affordable and effective way to spot hidden body damage.
Englewood, FL (PRWEB) June 1, 2006 -- Faced with the harsh reality that missing paintwork on a trade in or used car purchase can often times cost $1,000’s; a record number of Car Dealers purchased the FS 488 Paint Meter from FenderSplendor, Inc in May. FenderSplendor,Inc. President, Allen Willey, said the majority of the sales come from http://www.wholesalepaintmeters.com He added that distributors are increasing their sales of the FS 488 Paint Thickness Gauge and may eventually outsell the website. Willey, an eBay PowerSeller, also admits that 10-15% of his sales come from the ‘FenderSplendor1’ store on eBay.
In a recent interview Willey was questioned about the overwhelming success of the FS 488 Paint Meter. “Competitors have purchased our FS 488 and have called our office trying to pin down the reason for the FS 488’s astonishing success. We honestly don’t feel the success of the FS 488 Thickness Gauge is related to any one item.” When pushed for more specifics, Willey acquiesced, saying “We are the only Automobile Dealers in the business, and we specifically designed the FS 488 for the needs and the demands of the Automobile Industry.” Willey later added that the fact he was both a New and Used Car Dealer gives him an extra advantage in understanding the buying habits of his customer’s. He concluded by saying that the website http://www.wholesalepaintmeters.com was also instrumental in his success.
Willey was a New Car Dealer in the 70’s and 80’s selling Toyota, Nissan, Pontiac, Chevrolet, and Rolls Royce vehicles. In 2002 he was buying used Jaguars in Michigan during a snow storm and realized that it was time to get a Paint Meter.
Always somewhat of a pioneer, he saw the potential for marketing Paint Meters and contacted a German Manufacturer. “Originally all of our sales were on eBay, where we were also selling Used Cars. Then we opened our website at http://www.wholesalepaintmeters.com and sales really ignited.”
After seeing the demand for Paint Meters, Willey decided to develop his own gauge, and flew to Hong Kong where he met with several instrument manufacturers. Following a year of development and testing the FS 488 Paint Meter was released in March of 2006. With just a hint of a smile, Willey admitted that sales of the FS 488 have shocked him.
Willey finished by adding that he now has distributors in LA, New Orleans, Chicago, Tampa, Virginia, and Arizona; with plans to add another 10 distributors. “We also hope to add quality distributors in Mexico, Canada, England, and South America.”
