The Silver Slipper Casino Says “Later Gator”

Dis-assembly of the Bayou Caddy gator sign began on June 6, 2006 to make way for the new Silver Slipper Casino’s sign.

Hancock County (PRWEB) June 8, 2006 -- The colorful 103 ft. Bayou Caddy gator sign, a longtime Hancock County landmark, is being disassembled to make way for the new Silver Slipper Casino’s sign. “The Bayou Caddy sign will be dismantled, piece by piece, with the exception of the base which will serve as the foundation of the new Silver Slipper sign,” stated John Ferrucci, COO and General Manager. “The entire process is expected to take several days, after which we can begin work on our new sign and prepare for our mid-October opening.”

The new Silver Slipper Casino will be located on the former Bayou Caddy site in Hancock County. The gator pointed the way for many years to the former Bayou Caddy location, long after the casino’s doors closed and was one of the few landmarks to survive Hurricane Katrina.
