Gayle Clark Co-Owner of Motor City Sales & Services to Join Ask Patty

CarsMagazine.com launches Ask Patty with automotive advisory panel of automotive - industry expert women.

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) June 15, 2006 –- CarsMagazine.com announced today that Gayle Clark , President of Motor City Sales and Service, Detroit, MI, will join the automotive advisory panel of industry-expert women for their new woman’s portal, Ask Patty. The Ask Patty website at http://www.askpatty.com launches June 2006 in conjunction with Carsmagazine.com and will provide a safe place for women to get advice on car purchases, maintenance and other automotive related topics online.

In her automotive advisory role, Clark will respond to questions from consumer women on automotive related topics via the website. The Ask Patty interactive advice blog launched in May of 2006.

"Ask Patty is what consumer women have been waiting for, a safe online place to get advice before they visit their local car dealerships," said Clark. "I am pleased to join the Ask Patty team of expert automotive advisors and believe my experience and industry knowledge will help consumer women make educated decisions about their automotive needs and enable them to have a better experience with local car dealerships."

Clark’s exposure to the auto industry started after years as a Medical Office Manager and OSHA Program Coordinator for Manor Medical and Cape Health Plan. Clark chose to enter the Motor Coach arena in 1997 when, alongside her husband Julius, she became Co-owner and Assistant Director of Marketing and Sales for Motor City Transport. By 2002, a new arm of Motor City Transport was launched when it became Motor City Sales and Services. This eventually led to Motor City Sales and Services, L.L.C., a multi-faceted Automotive Care Center offering everything from oil changes and brake jobs to tune ups and automotive detailing services. “Before long, the company had become an associated tire dealership for Michelin Tires, as well as developing a dealership association with the U-Haul Company. This placed me in a unique position and gave me the insight into the automotive arena.” States Clark.

In her desire to break down barriers, while at the same time supporting women with the purchasing of new and used vehicles and caring for their own personal means of transportation, Gayle was inspired to launch a “Women’s Hands-On Automotive Basic Maintenance Class.” Today, the unique class serves as a powerful support for women eager to understand and care for their own cars. Since its inception Gayle has been committed to assisting others, successfully promoting the class as a vital tool in helping women in today’s high tech society.

“We are very pleased to have Gayle Clark on our board!” says Jody DeVere, President of Ask Patty. DeVere continues, “Gayle brings to Ask Patty an abundance of invaluable real life experiences teaching women how to get comfortable with car repairs and maintenance!” According to DeVere Ask Patty provides the safe environment for women to get advice and information needed to feel empowered and confident when they go to their local dealership for car service, repairs, maintenance and to negotiate and purchase a new or used vehicle.

Peter Martin, President of CarsMagazine.com added, “Clark’s acceptance of her role on the advisory panel of expert automotive women for Ask Patty will help foster trust and credibility with women consumers”.
