SSG. Timothy Funston has been in active service with the U.S. Army for seven years. An astute student of military strategies, the author is a forward observer and served four years in Germany, where he conducted training exercises with the Brigade Reconnaissance Troop. As a result of his vast experience, SSG Funston devised a plan for the Army to transform two military occupation specialties into one, thereby maximizing our successes in the battlefield.
