Mastery Technologies Receives IACET Stamp of Approval as Certified Authorized Provider

Certification enables Mastery to grant IACET Continuing Education Units for all published Training Programs.

Novi, MI (PRWEB) June 13, 2006 -- Mastery Technologies, Inc., masterytech.com, a leader in workplace health and safety training technology, today announced the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has officially certified the company as an Authorized Provider, paving the way for Mastery to grant IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for all its published training programs. To receive official IACET certification, Mastery completed an extensive application, was reviewed by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated the ability to adhere to all IACET criteria and guidelines. Moreover, Mastery agreed to comply with IACET criteria and standards and will use the IACET name and logo on course promotional materials.
To become an IACET Authorized Provider, Mastery:

  • demonstrates compliance with proven, research-based criteria created in cooperation with the United States Department of Education
  • dedicates itself to high standards for quality in continuing education and training
  • can award the IACET CEU, the hallmark for quality in continuing education and training

“Mastery has met the same IACET certification requirements as the most prominent and respected organizations in workplace health and safety,” said Bill Marker, president of Mastery Technologies. (These organizations include the OSHA Training Institute, American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Society of Safety Engineers, and American Occupational Therapy Association). “Due to the thoroughness and high standards of the IACET certification process, our customers can have great confidence that their workers are actually learning, and the subsequent improvement of job knowledge, skills, and appreciation for worker safety will result in a safer workplace.”

Mastery grants Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits to learners who successfully complete qualified Mastery Advantage™ courses taken via the World Wide Web or CD-Rom; IACET created the CEU to measure continuing education. One IACET CEU is equal to ten contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education course under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. Many organizations offer some form of continuing education credit, but only the IACET CEU is held to the strict, research-based IACET Criteria and Guidelines for Continuing Education and Training. Only IACET Authorized Providers that complete a comprehensive application and undergo a strict evaluation of their educational processes according to the IACET Criteria and Guidelines, including two reviews and a site visit by IACET Commissioners, can award the IACET CEU.
