Studio One Networks Launch Multi-Platform Support of National Safety Council's "National Safety Month"

DuPont's Real Families, Real Fun Dedicates Four Weeks to Safety in the Workplace, Driving, The Home and The Community. DuPont Earns "Green Cross For Safety Award.”

New York (PRWEB) June 16, 2006 -- Studio One Networks announced that it has devoted the entire June schedule of its acclaimed Online program, Real Families, Real Fun in support of the National Safety Council's "National Safety Month." DuPont is the exclusive sponsor of Real Families, Real Fun. The program's editorial content will include original radio and visual elements.

While the focus of the Real Families, Real Fun June schedule is on prevention of unintentional injuries and distribution of positive safety information, special emphasis is given to injuries that may occur in the home. In announcing the dedication of June's "National Safety Month," Alan C. McMillan, president and CEO of the National Safety Council said, "Contrary to what most people believe, home is not the safe haven we think it is. With more than half of all accidental deaths occurring in the home and communities, we have a greater challenge protecting the public from injuries while off the job."

Started on June 5, Real Families, Real Fun will present weekly features prepared by experts in public safety following criteria of the National Safety Council.

The schedule follows in the order of date, NSC Theme, Editorial Theme, and Media Venues:

Week 1: June 5, 2006 – Driving; Safe Driving - Online Editorial, Audio

Week 2: June 12, 2006 – Workplace; Safety in The Workplace – Online Editorial, Audio

Week 3: June 19, 2006 – Emergency Planning; Emergency Planning - Online Editorial, Audio

Week 4: June 26, 2006 – Home and Community; Includes Interviews with DuPont CEO, Charles O. Holliday Jr. and NSC Exec. Communications Director Elizabeth Wilson – Online Editorial, Audio

DuPont is the 2006 recipient of the National Safety Council's prestigious "Green Cross for Safety Medal," awarded annually to the organization which has "distinguished itself for outstanding achievements in safety and health, community service, environmental stewardship, and responsible citizenship.”
