iCollegeCoach Publishes Report on College Funding

“Top 10 Myths of College Funding” report available to help families pay for college in a more rational, effective manner.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 19, 2006 -- A new report, “Top 10 Myths of College Funding,” is available free to parents who are wrestling with the college costs problem. The report was published by iCollegeCoach, a college admission and college funding service, and is intended to give an introduction to how college financial aid really works.

“There is a lot of hype, bad news, and scams out there,” says Bill McCumber, company spokesman and iCollegeCoach counselor. “Parents don’t know where to turn to get accurate information. They want to give their children the benefit of a college education but have no idea how to pay for it.”

We know families panic about this issue, and we want them to know there is help out there.
As college costs continue to rise at a rate several times that of inflation parents are often forced into finding a way, any way, to make college a reality. Student indebtedness has soared in the past decade while parents increasingly make bad decisions. Parents often raid their retirement accounts, borrow too much from home equity, and take out large parent loans just when retirement is drawing near.

The report is available on the company website, http://iCollegeCoach.com, where parents can register to receive their own copy. “We hope that this is a non-threatening, straight-talking introduction to paying for college,” Mr. McCumber explained. “We know families panic about this issue, and we want them to know there is help out there.”
