AtomicPark.com Expands into Computer Video Games and Console Gaming Market

Popularity of next-generation gaming consoles attributed to expansion.

Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) June 19, 2006 -- AtomicPark.com , a fast-growing software e-retailer, officially announced today that it has expanded its product line to include computer and console gaming. This decision was based in part due to the interest in next-generation gaming consoles – especially the popularity of the Microsoft Xbox 360, which quickly turned into one of the most sought-after gifts of 2005 – as well as the desire to diversify their offerings to a wider clientele.

The video game industry has been growing steadily for years now, but the next-gen consoles really kicked demand into high gear
“The video game industry has been growing steadily for years now, but the next-gen consoles really kicked demand into high gear,” said Kelly Dawson, AtomicPark.com’s Internet Marketing Specialist and self-styled “resident gaming enthusiast.”

The company started selling gaming consoles and accessories on price comparison sites such as PriceGrabber.com and Shopping.com in mid-January. AtomicPark.com followed that up with an initial launch of over 2000 gaming products to their website on January 19th, 2006, for all the major platforms: PC, Sony’s PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable (PSP), Microsoft’s Xbox and Xbox 360, the Nintendo GameCube, the Nintendo GameBoy Advance line (GBA), and the Nintendo DS.

AtomicPark.com recently redesigned the gaming portion of their site to improve the navigation and on-site search function. They also added more images and content, and increased their product lines to appeal to a wider selection of customers. Finally, AtomicPark.com launched an email newsletter, The Reactor, to keep subscribers informed of general video game news and site updates, as well as notifications about the upcoming PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii, which AtomicPark.com plans on pre-selling in the near future.
