BarFly Development Team, LLC (BDT) Launches MVP PAC to Promote Republican Candidates and Causes in the 2006 Elections

BDT – a New York limited liability company specializing in state Bar Examination study materials – has announced that it is sponsoring, and has launched, MVP PAC, a new political action committee designed specifically to promote Republican and conservative grassroots activism. The project - http://passthebar.net/mvppac/index.html - is headed by BDT Managing Member Jonathan Stein, a veteran conservative author, commentator, and activist, known in conservative circles for his efforts for the GOP in the 2004 Elections, including controversial articles, fundraising, television and web spots, voter registration drives, and email campaigns, some of which are posted on MVP PAC’s website. MVP is short for “Maiestas Vetus Populos” a rough Latin translation of “Grand Old Party” or “GOP.”

(PRWEB) June 23, 2006 -- BarFly Development Team, LLC (BDT), a New York limited liability company specializing in state Bar Examination study materials, has announced that it is sponsoring, and has launched, MVP PAC, a new political action committee designed specifically to promote Republican and conservative grassroots activism. The site is hosted by BDT at http://passthebar.net/mvppac/index.html - MVP is short for “Maiestas Vetus Populos” a rough Latin translation of “Grand Old Party” or “GOP.”

MVP PAC describes itself as “(a) group of award winning and established activists, authors, and commentators FROM the grassroots that can do what the timid conservative politicians - and their campaign strategists - either cannot or will not do... fund and execute an effective grassroots campaign, engaging the left-wing DIRECTLY and fearlessly.”

The MVP members boldly, and unabashedly, state: “[our real-world, grassroots experience on the battlefield, confronting liberalism by direct action, coordinated grassroots activism, on the written page, on television and radio, over the internet, and by other creative means has made us hardened grassroots veterans uniquely suited, unafraid and prepared, to do whatever it takes, to combat the liberals and beat them back into oblivion.”

The Treasurer of MVP PAC is Jonathan M. Stein, a Managing Member of BDT, and a veteran conservative activist and author. Mr. Stein's publication credits include pieces in The Washington Times, NewsMax, FrontPage Magazine, and the Brown Daily Herald. He has been a frequent guest on talk radio shows including Mark Levin. Mr. Stein is a graduate of Brown University.

In 2004, he notoriously drafted myriad legal complaints to the Senate Ethics Committee, concerning, inter alia, certain questionable Intelligence Committee memos and John Kerry’s allegedly-illicit salary draw during the 2004 Presidential Campaign. He also filed an FTC complaint against the New York Times, alleging misleading bias, and an FEC complaint regarding certain DNC ads.

Mr. Stein produced several scathing anti-Kerry television commercials that were run on cable TV as well as the over web in 2004. He organized many email/petition drives and several “protests” around New York City. During the campaign, Jonathan was also active in anti-fraud activities and voter registration drives. The MVP website has links to many of these past efforts.

As for their general philosophy, MVPPAC avers: “(u)nlike the so-called political ‘professionals,’ MVPPAC believes in the wisdom of the people. Through our experience as activists, we have learned that grassroots supporters - not the so-called "pros" - truly have their hands on the "pulse" of current political conditions. Further, in the aggregate, the proper solutions, responses, and strategies to the political environment at any given time rest in the wisdom of the people - they just need their voices to be heard. . . (w)e’re listening.”

Archive Sample Ad Produced in 2004
With no funding whatsoever, Mr. Stein produced and ran ads, including this and similar ads, in the 2004 Presidential Election. Mr. Stein hopes that, with funding, his group can make a bigger impact in 2006.
