Sholar Group Architects -- Building New Vet Hospital Underway to Focus on Social Outreach

Constantly taking on new projects, Sholar Group Architects is pleased to announce a new project with much focus on social outreach. The new Vet Hospital is on the way.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 24, 2006 -- Dr. Aubrey Lavizzo, owner of Plaza Veterinary Clinic wants to make a difference. Sholar Design, PC and Sholar Construction, LLC will help him realize his dream by designing and constructing his new hospital. Lavizzo has been practicing veterinary medicine for 22 years in his current location in central Denver. He will relocate to his new facility late summer, 2006 just a few blocks from the existing clinic and construction will include a gut of the interior and an exterior renovation. The practice will be renamed The Center for Animal Wellness. Lavizzo says, “I have a lot of trust … and am very comfortable working with Sholar.”

Sholar Group Architects approach totally integrates the client, design and construction from the beginning of the project to the end. The process began with Lavizzo and Sholar working together to identify suitable sites to relocate the practice.

Lavizzo’s desire to have the Center be warm and inviting is a major component of the design and tours will be encouraged. To promote his new programs a conference and education room will be available. The new look for the exterior creates interest and blends with the unique architectural feel along the Santa Fe corridor.

As part of his practice, Lavizzo is focusing on community outreach programs. These programs will reach out to at risk children to educate them on the link between animal abuse and domestic violence. The Children’s Museum in Denver has partnered with Lavizzo in providing a venue to reach out and help educate. A charter member of the Colorado Alliance for Cruelty Prevention, Lavizzo believes these programs will assist in breaking the cycle of violence and abuse. Another program will center on the care of pets for home-bound seniors.

The Sholar Companies is proud to be associated with this innovative approach to extend veterinary medicine into the community.
