Weekly summer rates available through mid December range from $5,500 for 4 bedrooms to $33,000 for 6 bedrooms. These prices represent an average reduction of 30 percent over winter prices. Also, most of the villas welcome children, says Bennet.
St. Martin is the French side of the island, with the Dutch side going by the name Sant Maarten. Its airport is served by scheduled and charter flights from New York, 3.5 hours; Miami, 2.5 hours; and Paris, 8.5 hours, as well as from Guadeloupe, St. Barts and other nearby islands.
