City of Klamath Falls Oregon Approves LS Network Fiber Build

Oregon city approves fiber buildout to reach rural customers with Ethernet/SONET/VLAN services.

Portland, OR. (PRWEB) June 27, 2006 -- The City of Klamath Falls Oregon has approved LS Networks Franchise Ordinance allowing LSN to expand their fiber network reach in another southern Oregon city.

“The City welcomes LS Networks.” said Jeff Ball, City Manager. “Its presence will further expand opportunities for our citizens and businesses to access those competitive, privately operated telecommunications services which are absolutely vital to our growing community” Jeff Ball said.

Earlier this month, LS Networks announced the completion of yet another segment of Fiber Optic network, bringing the companies total fiber miles to 2,250 miles.

Lightspeed Networks, Inc. (dba LS Networks) was recently recognized as one of Oregon’s “Top Telecom” companies in the Portland Business Journal.

"We are very pleased to work with the City of Klamath Falls as we continue to grow and expand our network presence within the state. In addition to providing additional value-add services to Klamath Falls, we are also providing greater network resiliency with our construction in the Klamath Falls area" Michael Weidman President and CEO of LS Networks said.
