Refurbished Electronics Save Cash

Consumers are finding out that they can save a lot of money and get the same warranties buying refurbished electronics.

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 30, 2006 -- In the search for consumer electronics today people have three guidelines they use to find what they’re looking for: quality, price, and the latest technology. Consumers are finding out that they can save a lot of money and get the same warranties buying refurbished electronics.

They work great and cost very reasonably.
Research shows that refurbished (or refurbs) electronics including computers, cameras, TV’s, etc are sometimes better than new because of the quality control testing it goes through before going back out for resale. There are lots of things that can label items factory refurbished. Some are so frivolous, it’s laughable. But because consumer laws prevent manufacturers from selling anything considered factory refurbished as "new", the second consumer gets the best deal.

Price is always a factor when shopping for electronics or any major purchase. I was recently in the market for an iPod™ so, I went to the local Best Buy. I found the Apple® iPod™ MP3 Player with 60GB* Hard Drive for $399.99, but I wasn’t willing to spend that kind of money. A spend thrifty colleague referred me
to Refurb Depot(www.refurbdepot.com)and I found the same model for $249.95. That’s a savings of $150. I was still concerned about what kind of warranties available for refurbished products. Aron Scharf, President, Refurb Depot explains on his company website,” Why hesitate getting the best value by getting the exact same equipment, with original manufacturers warranty at a much lower price.” I also checked for feedback on the net to see what consumer’s opinions of refurbished electronics were.
Here is what some consumers had to say:

“They work great and cost very reasonably.”
-Peter Lo
I've bought a few refurbs (through "Refurb Depot") which have actually outlasted brand new items that I've bought.
-    John and Tammy Starr
“…I can comment on refurbs in general -- I've had very good luck with them. (Among other things,
I've bought two refurb computer monitors and an answering machine which still work very well.” -SC

It is impossible to know the history of each item, but for whatever reason the unit gets labeled factory refurbished it is inspected & serviced by the manufacturer then tested and repackaged to meet original product specifications. I would definitely recommend checking out a company like Refurb Depot before spending extra money you don’t have to. Having the latest technology at up to 80% off sometimes simply because the box was opened makes it well worth it. By the way, I am enjoying my iPod.
