PEEDI, RONETIX’s high speed JTAG Emulator and Flash Programmer now supports also TI TMS470, Atmel AT45 DataFlash and provides uClinux awareness.

Vienna, Austria (PRWEB) July 5, 2006 -- Ronetix today announced the availability of the new firmware of its high speed, low cost JTAG Emulator and Flash Programmer for ARM7, ARM9 and XScale based micro controllers. The new firmware makes PEEDI the first JTAG Emulator that supports flash programming of Atmel SPI DataFlash AT45DB series connected to Atmel ARM9 MCU. This unique feature enables the easy use of 8-pin AT45DB DataFlash as boot device.

PEEDI can be used in standalone mode to program more that 800 flash devices as well as AT91SAM7, LPC2000, MAC7100, STR7 and TMS470 families.

PEEDI supports native GNU gdb and provides a very high real download speed – up to 1Mbytes/s. The new firmware provides uClinux awareness which enables debugging of kernel and applications.

Among the advantages of PEEDI are:

-   Built-in support for gdb (remote target via Ethernet).
-   Very high real download speed – up to 1Mbytes/s.
-   5 kHz – 33MHz JTAG clock using 35cm standard cable.
-   Target Voltage 1.2V – 5V.
-   Built-in telnet command line interface.
-   Built-in very fast Flash programmer that supports over 800 Flash devices.
-   Can be used as a standalone Flash Programmer, up to 15 images stored on MMC/SD card controlled by front panel interface.
-   Small robust aluminum case.
-   DCC over TCP support.
