Two Times The Fun, Twins and Triplets Survey

Results of The Baby Show online survey, asking visitors to thebabyshow.co.uk their thoughts on having twins or triplets and dealing with multiple births.

London, UK (PRWEB) July 13, 2006 -- In celebration of ‘Twins, Triplets and More Week’ (3-9 July 2006) The Baby Show conducted their own online survey, asking visitors to http://www.thebabyshow.co.uk their thoughts on having more than one child and dealing with multiple births.

The results showed that most parents or parents to be visiting the site would like to have more than one child, with a staggering 74% responding positively when asked if they would like to have twins or triplets.

The reasons for this overwhelmingly positive response varied, and the largest proportion of those who said yes, which was 32%, said that they would love it because ‘it would be so much fun’. 16% of entrants thought it was a good idea to have more than one child at the same time in order to ‘get pregnancy and rearing of small children out of the way.’

Another positive factor for 11% of respondents was the ‘bond and lifelong companion’ which twins or multiples gain by having each other as a sibling. This bond was considered to be of greater importance than the fact that multiples ‘can amuse each other and play together,’ though. Luckily, nobody thought that a good reason to want twins was because ‘they are so sweet,’ and because ‘they could have matching outfits.’ 5% of entrants already had twins or triplets and said that they ‘loved it.’

On the whole, The Baby Show Twins and Triplets survey uncovered that multiple births are a thing to be desired, no matter what the reasons.

Negative responses were few, at 26%, and unsurprisingly, the reasons for these answers were focused upon the financial drain, the stress placed on a relationship and how much baby stuff you would have to buy!

Despite the negative factors offered as options, people on the whole still said that they wanted twins or triplets.

This could be because respondents were all aware that The Baby Show is out there to help and is the place to find all the information you need, as well as everything for your baby. The great deals on 100’s of nursery essentials and the chance to compare them all under one roof mean that even when you have to buy double or triple the equipment, the savings are still fantastic! Tamba (The Twins and Multiple Births Association) will be at The Baby Show, which is held 20-22 October 2006 at Earls Court, and will be on hand to give advice on how to cope with multiple births. The Baby Show is the biggest and best live event for the baby and toddler industry and having been designed for parents of small children and those expecting, is a fantastic day out for all the family.

Tamba, the organisers of ‘Twins, Triplets and More Week’ are running their own survey, on how having multiple births affects the relationship between mum and dad. If you have twins, triplets or more and want to take part, please go to http://www.tamba.org.uk
