Cambrian House Inc. Connects Eating Fear with Raising Capital

Cambrian House CEO, Michael Sikorsky shares secrets to his startup’s success on the company’s blog.

Calgary, AB (PRWEB) July 12, 2006 -- Michael Sikorsky (CEO) teams up with Jonathan Rasmusson (Community Evangelist) of Cambrian House Inc., to reveal their tips to raising capital on the company’s blog. Having raised over $2.2 million for the company, which had ranked in Alexa’s top 100 reached Canadian websites within 2 weeks of the website’s launch, Sikorsky divulges the key is to eat fear for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. “There are two types of fear entrepreneurs need to eat when raising capital – one based on reason, and another based on gut. While both need to be addressed, entrepreneurs often over prepare for one, and under prepare for the other.”

when entrepreneurs sincerely believe, project a genuine aura of confidence, and act as if they are destined to raise money, they often do.
Sikorsky reveals that while entrepreneurs have prepared for eating rational fear by formulating business plans and creating slick PowerPoint presentations, they are ill prepared for dealing with the emotional fear investors have when faced with new startups. Sikorsky’s tips advise dealing directly with the emotions of the investors, catering to their greed and mitigating their fear of loss. He notes that, “when entrepreneurs sincerely believe, project a genuine aura of confidence, and act as if they are destined to raise money, they often do.”

The tips revealed on the blog today are the first serving of a multi-course meal of entrepreneurial advice from the Cambrian House CEO. “We work on the assumption that the universe is abundant,” Sikorsky explains, “sharing advice with other investors propagates abundance, not scarcity.”
