Hollywood Book Festival Honors Israeli Author

Kfir Luzzatto, Italian-born author of a number of controversial novels, earns honors at the Hollywood Book Festival in California.

Laurel, MD (PRWEB) July 14, 2006 -- Italian born Dr. Kfir Luzzatto has once again earned a more than respectable position in the fiction industry. On July 8, 2006, the Hollywood Book Festival recognized authors with their annual awards. Among the novels presented, the organization honored Luzzatto's Crossing the Meadow (Echelon Press Publishing) in the genre-based category. Kfir Luzzatto's debut novel received rave reviews. Readers previously voted the dramatic ghost story "Favorite Horror Novel" in the Preditors & Editors annual contest.

"If you saw and admired M. Night Shyamalan's 1999 film "The Sixth Sense," you may be attracted to "Crossing the Meadow"...

A strange nightmare, a young woman in a foggy city and a body buried underneath a bathtub, all converge to force an ordinary man to investigate a dark, long forgotten past.

A little girl who can see her dead cat, an old blind woman and a beautiful girl who died too young, unknowingly play a role in a game in which humanity must survive the death of the flesh.

They don't know what awaits them beyond that meadow, but they are determined to find out ...

Crossing the Meadow guides you into the twilight zone where dead people brush silently past the living ones and, often without noticing, affect their fate.

Warning: Your perception of the space around you will never again be the same.

"...it does for ghosts what Anne Rice's 'Interview with the Vampire' did for the blood-sucking living dead a couple of decades back ... you really need to discover all the other charming aspects of 'Crossing the Meadow' on you own." –TheColumnists.com

The Hollywood Book Festival was produced by JM Northern Media LLC and sponsored by Final Draft Screenplay Software; the Hollywood Creative Directory; the LA Press Club: the DIY Convention; the DIYReporter.com; and Westside Websites.

In other Luzzatto news: Kfir Luzzatto's newest release The Odyssey Gene (Echelon Press Publishing) has just hit the shelves (7/1/06) with a flurry of activity. The author penned a deal with Fisher (the band) to promote the title. Additional lyrics were added to Too Late to encompass the story of The Odyssey Gene, Kfir's newest and even more controversial release. With a remake of the accompaniment by Ron Wasserman, and a breathtaking performance by Kathy Fisher, Too Late / Odyssey was created.
