Herndon, VA (PRWEB) July 15, 2006

John Hardin, a native and former resident of Kings Mountain, has published his first novel.

The novel, entitled "Combat Zone," is an action crime thriller about a hired gun named Jerry Hansen, who is made an offer he'd be foolish to refuse: New York Mafia Don Vincent Scarelli offers him a cool one million dollars if Jerry will rescue his niece, Gina, from Kozmo, a sadistic and psychopathic crime boss who runs part of The Combat Zone, Boston's infamous adult entertainment district.

Jerry infiltrates Kozmo's operation, but when he is betrayed by someone with knowledge of his mission, he must decide if, and how, he will get Gina away from Kozmo.

"Combat Zone" shows the dark, violent underworld of strip clubs, prostitution, and life in a big city's red light district, and is packed with raw, hard-boiled action and suspense.

"Combat Zone" can be purchased on the web site Lulu.com, the world's fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books, as well as amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.

Mr Hardin is employed by the U.S. Government outside Washington, DC, and resides in Herndon, Virginia. He has been married to his wife, Pam, for 15 years and has a nine-year-old daughter, Ashley.
