Annual Energy Conference Held in Dallas for 2006

The International Energy Policy Conference will be held in Dallas, Texas this year. The event will host energy industry leaders from around the world and will feature keynote speaker James A. Beck, Chairman of the Foundation for Energy Education and Former President of Seneca Resources. The official theme of the event is “America’s Energy Future: A Global Perspective.”

Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) July 26, 2006 -- The 14th Annual International Energy Policy Conference is scheduled for September 17-18, 2006 and will be held at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. “We couldn’t think of a better city for this year’s conference than Dallas!” said Mark A. Stansberry, IEPC Founder/Chairman and Chairman of the GTD Group. “The vibrant life of both the city and the energy industry are making for an exciting event. There is so much globally effecting the United States in the arena of energy, an event like this makes the perfect forum for real discussions, education and potentially change for a more comprehensive US energy policy.” The conference will feature various speakers and panels from a broad array of energy fields.

This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker James A. Beck, Chairman of the Foundation for Energy Education and Former President of Seneca Resources. Mr. Beck is also serving as Honorary Chairman of the Conference. The Hon. Robert W. Jordan, Senior Partner of Baker Botts LLP and former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, will serve as Honorary Host Chairman.

This is the 14th annual conference, and this year’s theme is “America’s Energy Future: A Global Perspective.” The Energy Advocates, Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers are serving as co-hosts. The organizers believe that we are in a crucial time. “Energy is the lifeblood of our everyday lives!” commented Mac Alloway, Chairman of the Energy Advocates. “An effective energy policy will protect us more than just at the gas pumps. There are at least 3000 everyday products that are produced from our energy resources. Without these products, the American lifestyle would change very dramatically.”

Dallas Energy Entrepreneur Ed Blessing of Blessing Petroleum is the 2006 Host Chairman for IEPC. “I am excited to be the Host Chair of this year’s event. There is much to be accomplished with an event of this caliber. It is a positive and collaborative way to effect policy change.”
