7th Judicial Circuit Court Select FileTrail RFID Tracking Solutions
The 7th Judicial Circuit Court migrates to FileTrail's Web-based RFID File Tracking Solution to control case files. Manual processes are streamlined using RFID and Bar Code technologies to track file folders.
(PRWEB) July 29, 2006 -- FileTrail, Inc., is pleased to announce that the 7th Judicial Circuit Court has selected a FileTrail RFID Tracking Solution to automate tracking and management of case files. The court will save labor by eliminating manual searches for files and streamlining manual processes related to handling case files.
The court will utilize FileTrail software and EPCglobal RFID technology to automatically track case files among 130 locations in the workflow, including courtrooms, judges’ chambers, clerical staff public counters and other locations in the court.
Desktop RFID readers at staff desks will automatically record the movement of case files as they move from desk-to-desk. Networked RFID readers, which can read RFID tags up to 10 feet away, will be utilized at other locations to automatically track the location of case files.
The initial project will cover criminal and juvenile divisions in the main courthouse. Integration with the court's case management system will synchronize case information in FileTrail and trigger printing of color coded folder labels for new cases. Future expansion will extend coverage to other locations and divisions.
