Beta Testers Wanted: Cutting-Edge Technology Enables University Accreditation

Today, Management Simulations, Inc. (MSI) asks college and university professors to join a free beta test of its newest product, Comp-XM®, the Capstone Competency Exam, an examination tool that enables business school professors to measure student learning.

Northfield, Ill. (PRWEB) August 2, 2006 — Today, Management Simulations, Inc. (MSI) asks college and university professors to join a free beta test of its newest product, Comp-XM®, the Capstone Competency Exam, an examination tool that enables business school professors to measure student learning.

Executed in conjunction with the Capstone Business Simulation, Comp-XM verifies business school learning and assesses business judgment and analytical skills via a unique process: The exam’s questions and answers evolve as students make managerial decisions while running simulated corporations. This evolution ensures a fair, secure and comprehensive measure of learning. Each student’s exam is unique, yet essentially identical.

Professors involved in initial testing have seen increasingly positive results. Comp-XM can be utilized in both graduate and undergraduate programs. It has been tested in schools of various sizes and locations across the country, and in a variety of business classes.

Universities face increased pressure regarding accreditation and grading standards. MSI has heeded the call of professors to address this growing need.

“As a professor myself, I thoroughly understand the struggle that many professors face in terms of assurance of learning – demonstrating what students have learned,” says Dan Smith, MSI president and creator. “Comp-XM was developed as a measurement device for these professors, enabling them to offer “proof” to accrediting bodies, parents and the business community. We look forward to receiving feedback and suggestions from additional participants in the beta test and to launching a environment-changing product.“

Currently, more than 550 universities across the globe, including Harvard, Northwestern and Penn, utilize MSI’s leading business simulation products.

To participate in the free beta test of Comp-XM, contact Rodger Mitchell at Management Simulations by email at 847-501-2888.
