Robot/SAVE 11.0 encrypts critical system i data for more secure backup and recovery.
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) August 8, 2006 –- backup software. Robot/SAVE 11 now allows users to encrypt data as it is saved to tape, making it unreadable if the tape is lost or stolen.

- Medium encryption (uses the Data Encryption Standard)
- High128 encryption (uses the Advanced Encryption Standard)
- High256 encryption (uses the Advanced Encryption Standard, with a 256-bit key)
Robot/SAVE data recovery software also maintains a secure cross-reference file of the encryption keys used to encrypt data.
