Of that group, 77% said they could not make a positive employment decision based on the information and experience they had during the hiring and selection process. Their number one source of job information is a referral from a current employee; the second is an organization’s Web site. "Preparing For The Storm: Why Health Care Workers Quit - What Can We Do To Retain Them", reports the results of interviews with 48,534 former employees focusing on why they left their positions, reasons they would have stayed, and reasons they would consider returning. The top three reasons employees leave an organization: a better career opportunity; more favorable
work schedule; and because of a poor relationship with a supervisor/manager.
