School Fundraiser Catalog Products Fill Education Funding Gaps

(PRWEB) August 5, 2006 -- At the same time more children are going back to school, educators are dealing with funding gaps caused by budget cuts and higher fuel prices. The increased cost of transportation has had a direct impact on budgets for field trips, sports programs, and extracurricular activities. As a result, more schools are turning to alternative fundraising programs as a supplement to tighter educational budgets.

“Profits from Maredy School Fundraising products fill the gap between school budgets and the needs of students” said Carlton van Putten, vice president of Maredy Corporation. “With continuing cuts for school music and sports programs, Maredy school fundraiser catalogs provide a solution for cash-strapped schools looking to develop well-rounded students.”

Teachers and volunteers use Elementary school fundraiser projects to raise money for assemblies, field trips, and special events. Maredy fundraising catalogs have been used to save school music programs by providing funds for instruments and instruction. Soccer teams have used Maredy catalogs to buy equipment and pay for transportation to tournaments. Teachers from Kindergarten to the sixth grade use Maredy fundraiser catalogs to raise money for special projects and show their students how to achieve a goal through their own initiative.

Since the drastic rise in the price of fuel, High school fundraiser projects have large part of Maredy’s business. Football, basketball, volleyball, and other teams have all felt the impact of fuel prices because it costs more money to send students to away games. To make up for the shortfall in sporting budgets, teams are turning to Maredy to come up with funds for equipment, trips to championships, and assorted expenses.

Teachers, coaches, and club leaders are turning to Maredy for fundraising ideas. In many cases, a catalog fundraising project is successful because the interested group members raise money for their own projects without going through the normal allocation process. Furthermore, a club, group, or team that uses Maredy for fundraising can spend 100% of its profits in any way it chooses, without the strings normally attached to taxpayer dollars. Maredy school fundraising projects have purchased football uniforms, cheerleading supplies, band trips to Disneyland, and foreign language club vacations to Europe.

Furthermore, Maredy Fundraising Company is not exclusive to public schools, or even to schools at all. Private and religious schools use Maredy catalogs to sell gift wrap, cookie dough, and candies for everything from basic supplies to buildings. Civic groups use fundraising catalogs to raise money for community projects.
