Anonymous Songwriter Launches Website in an Effort To Have His Song Heard One Million Times

Anonymous songwriter Artist X has launched a new website called Play My Song Forward.com in an attempt to have his new song heard one million times.

(PRWEB) August 5, 2006 -- A new website called www.playmysongforward.com has been created in an attempt to get one million people to hear a new song by the anonymous songwriter Artist X. Artist X is a singer and songwriter who is releasing his music anonymously as a reaction to the current state of the music industry. "The music industry seems to be focused on everything but music at the moment. What's really driving the music industry are things like image, egos and of course the almighty dollar -- things that have nothing to do with the music being made," said Artist X. Artist X has decided to release his music anonymously in effort to keep the focus on his music and to take the focus off of him.

This Fall Artist X will be releasing his debut CD, All Things Subside. To promote his upcoming CD and its' first single, which is also the title track, Artist X came up with the concept of Play My Song Forward.com. Inspired in part by the movie Pay It Forward, the website aims to get one million people to hear Artist X's new song by listening to it themselves and then forwarding the website and song to others. Artist X has also set a time frame of 90 days in which to reach this goal. The website was launched on July 27th, 2006 and the 90 days will conclude on October 24th, 2006.

The music industry seems to be focused on everything but music at the moment. What's really driving the music industry are things like image, egos and of course the almighty dollar -- things that have nothing to do with the music being made
