What is the Connection Between Dolphins and the Bronx -- Answer Dr. David Wolgroch

David Wolgroch, a chartered clinical psychologist from England, has recently published two intriguing books based upon his personal and clinical experiences. Cetacean Magic describes Dolphin Assisted Therapy at the Dolphin Reef in Eilat, Israel. Shrink, tells how his experience as the only known Jewish member of a Bronx Puerto Rican gang led to a future career in clinical psychology.

(PRWEB) August 9, 2006 -- Cetacean Magic is a fictional account closely based upon Dr.Wolgroch's unique experience as the psychological consultant for the Dolphin Reef Therapy Centre, in Eilat, Israel. It describes the intriguing treatment of a disturbed adolescent girl, the drug detox of a famous rock musician, the treatment of a family coping with terminal illness, and therapy for a Holocaust Survivor. Cetacean Magic will provide an interesting and informative read for individuals interested in psychology, nature, and interpersonal relations.

Shrink is non fiction. It is based upon Dr. Wolgroch's experiences growing up in the Bronx in the late 1960's. After being kidnapped by a Puerto Rican gang, David managed to turn this potential tragedy into an event which led to a future career as a clinical psychologist. Through comedy, dramatic dilemma, and sincere dialogue, Dr.Wolgroch illustrates some important psychological concepts to include; Resilience, Personality, Motivation, Society, and Ethics. Shrink is more than a 'coming of age' story. It is as amusing as it is informative and inspiring.

Both books have been published by Lulu Press (www.lulu.com/wolgroch) and are available internationally in most internet-based book sites.
