National Motorcycle Charity Ride Weekend to Focus on Children's Charities as Bikers Across the Nation Deliver the Goods to Kids

With a new name the Ride for Children's Chaities has set a date and is reaching out to the biker community for support and riders to participate in the largest, organized biker fund raising event in history.

Yucca Valley, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2006 -- The National Ride for Charity Weekend has narrowed its focus and become the "National Ride for Children’s Charities" according to sponsor and organizer Cris Jackman. This nationwide biker event will take place on the weekend of June 14 & 15, 2007. It will consist of rides taking place in every state, in several cities. Individual events will be held by different clubs and organizations, all with the purpose of raising money for kids. Cris says “Bikers have heart and when it comes to helping kids, their hearts double in size”.

When asked about the change, Cris said, "I've been looking at charities since last December to see which ones need the most help and from what I've seen, local children’s charities are in pretty bad shape".

Kids are in circumstances and situations that they have no control over; that they didn't create and they are pretty much stuck in them. There are kids in this country who have never had a new outfit or a new toy. There are kids in hospitals that need books to read, paper to write on, crayons, colored pencils and pens to express themselves creatively. We have kids in the United States who have been forgotten, left behind. That's not right. We need to do something for these kids. We can give them something to make their lives better and easier. We have to give them a glimmer of hope. Cris hopes this is the first of many Rides for Children’s Charities as she hopes to make it an annual event.

Cris is a former biker who, at age 55, is looking forward to riding again soon. She lives in Yucca Valley, CA and is retired due to a disability. She currently has four online t-shirt shops, one of them Crazy Crissy's Biker T-Shirts, is sponsoring this "no fee" event. She is actively looking for clubs, organizations, merchants and anyone who rides who wants to participate and help the children. 100% of the proceeds of this event will go to charity.
