“I wanted to create an interactive environment where dog lovers could locate hard-to-find toys and accessories for their dogs. I also wanted to offer shoppers a suite of premium services like gift wrapping, a gift registry and pet party packs,” explained Wet Nose Willy’s owner, Beth Jackson. Jackson created DoggieFun.com, an online community for dog lovers, in 1998 and wanted to create a shopping service with a similar funky feel.

Wet Nose Willy’s was inspired by Jackson’s rescued Jack Russell Terrier, Willy, whose exploits are chronicled on the website’s blog. Willy is a messy little dog who’s attitude is a perfect match for the edgy items sold on the website.

Dedicated to supporting the community, a portion of every sale from the boutique is donated to animal welfare organizations. Wet Nose Willy’s also supports and participates in metro DC pet events.

Within the next year, Jackson plans to open a Wet Nose Willy’s boutique in the metro Washington DC area.
