FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BABY-EGG® Corp to Challenge the Common Practice of Comparing the Size of the Unborn Baby to Fruits and Vegetables or using Ultrasound

The first ever conception to birth LIFE-SIZE illustrations calendar published in March 2006 by an R.N. gives new meaning to prenatal bonding and can be the alternative to Ultrasound

Sedona, AZ (PRWEB) August 12, 2006 – One of the most frequently asked questions during a pregnancy is: “How big is the baby?” Until 2006 a typical answer was: “about the size of a kidney bean” or “a plum” or “an orange” or even “an eggplant”. With over 130 million pregnancies worldwide this answer of course varies by country.

“ …but what kind of mental images do you get?” asks Anita, creator of the BABY-EGG®.
“Try it”, she says with a big smile.

about the size of a kidney bean
Her solution to this was to create a week by week calendar that focuses on the actual size of the unborn baby. The 38 pencil line-drawings, on egg shaped pages, range from a single dot all the way up to a full term baby. The egg shapes get progressively larger as the baby grows.

On the back of each page you can read the NEWS from the WOMB™ and there is a space for notes. Being bound together by hand with a pink and blue ribbon maintains the cozy feel of the original hand made prototype, elaborates the former R.N.

This calendar is a big hit with pregnant women, dads to be, siblings, grandparents, educators, midwifes, etc. A visual aid we all have been waiting for.

Ultrasound has its proper function but this calendar also takes care of the worry about Ultrasounds. It is the new Low Tech approach in a High Tech world that may do more for prenatal bonding than a fuzzy Ultrasound image. These beautifully hand-drawn illustrations
are an alternative to satisfy the parents curiosity about their baby’s size.
