The Cat is Out of the Bag. KO Artist Tyrone Brunson is a Lion Heart

There has been a lot of rumors and speculation about the promotional status of knockout artist and superstar Middleweight Prospect Tyrone “Young Gun” Brunson (12-0). The prevalent story out in the grapevine has Tyrone Brunson as a free agent available to the highest promotional bidder. As a result, many of the top promotional companies in the United States, on both coasts, have been busy and aggressively jockeying for Brunson’s services. To put an end to the ongoing scramble for Brunson’s services, Lion Heart Boxing Productions has decided to publicize the fact that it had already signed Tyrone Brunson to a long-term and exclusive promotional deal.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) August 14, 2006 – There has been a lot of rumors and speculation about the promotional status of knockout artist and superstar Middleweight Prospect Tyrone “Young Gun” Brunson (12-0).

Brunson is a natural puncher who possesses something one cannot teach a fighter—knockout power. In his fights to date, Brunson exhibited an uncanny ability to deliver stunning knockout blows the moment an opponent first lowered his guard or made a mistake. None of Brunson’s knockouts to date have been similar. What they all had in common is the fact that Brunson knockouts are always delivered with pinpoint accuracy and devastating power.    Oozing with excitement, Edward Mendy added, “If Tyrone Brunson can keep the knockouts coming, Brunson has the potential to be the biggest star in boxing history. While some may call it sacrilegious or think it premature to say so, Brunson could be bigger than all of boxing’s recent megastars, including Mike Tyson, Oscar Dela Hoya and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Not one of those legends accomplished Brunson’s feat—twelve consecutive first round knockouts in twelve fights.”

The prevalent story out in the grapevine has Tyrone Brunson as a free agent available to the highest promotional bidder. As a result, many of the top promotional companies in the United States, on both coasts, have been busy and aggressively jockeying for Brunson’s services. Many of these promoters, directly or through intermediaries, have been making tantalizing offers to Brunson fit to ransom a king. Some of the signing bonus offers being thrown around, and at Brunson, are so large that they put many of the lucrative deals offered to recent Olympians to shame.

To put an end to the ongoing scramble for Brunson’s services, Lion Heart Boxing Productions has decided to publicize the fact that it had already signed Tyrone Brunson to a long-term and exclusive promotional deal. Lion Heart Boxing Promotions’ spokesperson, Edward Mendy, says, “There is at least one rumor that is true. Tyrone Brunson is a Lion Heart. Yes, yes, we have Tyrone Brunson under contract. It is a five-year promotional contract effective April 2006. We wanted to keep Brunson’s signing a secret but don’t want to give any promoter false hope or have anyone taken advantage of needlessly. Our goal was to bring Brunson up slowly and quietly. We wanted to help continue his streak of knockouts and thereby discretely build him into the hottest superstar. Unfortunately, that cat is now out of the bag. Now everyone will know Brunson is with Lion Heart.”

Middleweight Prospect Tyrone Brunson is slowly and quietly becoming one of the biggest stories in boxing with his stunning knockouts. Brunson has accumulated an amazing twelve first round knockouts in as many outings, a record feat for a Middleweight. Brunson, who hails from the rough street of Central Philadelphia, follows a long line of outstanding Philadelphia Middleweights, including his hero, former world champion Bernard Hopkins. Brunson started boxing to stay out of trouble as well as for self-defense. His accomplishments as an amateur are not outstanding. Brunson never won at the national level, did not win any national box-offs or the Golden Gloves, and was unable to make it to the Olympic team. He lost to Jones at the 2004 Olympic trials. While Brunson was never able to win the big tournaments as an amateur, Brunson did establish himself as a solid amateur fighter winning eighty two of eighty seven amateur fights.

Asked about his lack of success as an amateur Brunson was unapologetic. “It does not bother me that I never won anything big as an amateur. People always told me that I had a pro style. With my speed and power, I am confident that I can knock out any of the guys I lost to in the amateurs if I were matched with them today in a professional fight. When I could not make it to the Olympics I thought it was time to turn pro.” Brunson currently trains and fights out of Philadelphia under the guidance of Junior Walker, a trainer who has worked with him since he was eleven years old.
