New High Performance Driving Technology for Mobility Impaired Drivers

The Total Hands Driving System from RediAutoSport is designed so that mobility impaired people can enojy racing and everyday driving excitement.

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) August 17, 2006 -- In 1999 Santa Monica business owner Daniel Reyes was injured by a runaway car. The result was the traumatic amputation of his right leg.

Being the owner of a 1967 Ferrari 330 GT which he could not drive, his frustration level grew until he started pursuing options.

In 2004 he traveled to Italy to visit the Guido Simplex factory to see for himself a new technology that would allow him to drive his Ferrari. He had learned that the Guido Simples team supplied a specialized type of equipment to Alex Zinardi’s BMW racing team. Zinardi had lost both legs in a near fatal crash, and now races again with a BMW team in Europe.

What Daniel found was the solution for virtually all mobility impaired people who want to drive a stick-shift automobile… a Total Hands Driving System.

So this Hispanic entrepreneur began operating Redi Auto Sport and arranged to become the exclusive distributor/ installer of Guido Simplex equipment in the United States so he could begin to deliver this remarkable technology to mobility impaired drivers in the US.

Carol Hollfelder is one of those special people who was desperately looking for his help.

Carol began competing as an equestrian, riding hunter and jumper horses from age nine until she was injured in a motorcycle accident at eighteen.

Full of determination, even as a paraplegic, Carol could no longer compete on horseback, so she turned her competitive drive toward sports cars.

All of Carol’s race cars are equipped with custom-made racing hand controls and when Carol made the decision to retrofit all of her personal automobiles including her favorite, a 1984 Ferrari Mondial Cabriolet, she selected the RediAuto Sport Total Hands Driving System, because of the advanced and easy-to-use hand controls.

Now this Paraplegic SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship Race Car Driver Carol Hollfelder is now able to drive her personal Ferrari for first time in ten years

The Total Hands Driving System

For today’s high performance 5 and 6 speed manual transmission cars the Total Hands Driving System consists of an accelerator ring mounted to the steering wheel, a clutch which is a simple lever on the stick shift and a leather covered brake lever that replaces the old fashioned and imprecise “push/pull” controls.

The Total Hands Driving System is designed so that mobility impaired people can enjoy racing and everyday driving excitement.
