Gabrielle Staples Publishes the First Volume of Her Epic Fantasy Series Using Web-Publishing Phenomenon Lulu

Gabrielle Staples brings Situation Vacant, the first volume of her fantasy series, The Pelarian Multiverse Chronicle, to the public in conjunction with Lulu, the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.

Dorking, Surrey, UK (PRWEB) August 18, 2006 -- Gabrielle Staples brings Situation Vacant, the first volume of her fantasy series, The Pelarian Multiverse Chronicle, to the public in conjunction with Lulu (www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.

Situation Vacant is the story of an ordinary woman who answers a strange job advertisement and finds herself taking on the role of saving the multiverse – the parallel universes in which Situation Vacant is set. Pitched headlong into another world, she reluctantly takes on the mantle of Mage Prime. At the same time she discovers she isn’t too old to fall for the handsomest man around. Magic, mayhem and cast of wonderful characters make this a great fun read for the fantasy fan.

Gabrielle Staples started writing Situation Vacant in 1994 as an entry to a short story competition. 10,000 words later she realized that it wasn’t going to be ‘short’ and over the next years developed it into a full-length book. After the usual rejection slips she was taken on by an agent, however her experience with a publisher who took 12 months to reach the stage of a printers proof, and who went into liquidation on the eve of publication meant that the book never saw the light of day. Disillusioned, she put the manuscript back on the shelf until she saw an article about Lulu. The rest is history. She found Lulu’s print-on-demand tools to be fast and easy, and they gave her complete control of the publishing process. Situation Vacant is available for purchase at www.lulu.com, in a marketplace filled with other unique and wonderful surprises.
