If you enjoy snapping photographs, have an enterprising spirit, an engaging personality, and want to generate steady monthly income on the internet while building your own web site, this peer group training program is designed for you.

Carbondale, IL (PRWEB) August 22, 2006 -- SIHomeTours is partnering with other online virtual tour and real estate photography businesses to host the first ever Virtual Tour Summit on Saturday, October 7 and 8, 2006 in St. Louis at the Crowne Plaza Hotel near Lambert Airport. Experts, many of whom have operated virtual tour businesses since 2000, will present sessions designed to train, coach, and advise attendees who will each receive their own Virtual Tour Machine web site.

The demand for virtual tour and real estate photography is growing as professionally produced photos are rapidly becoming a vital in selling real estate. The facts are clear:

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported that seventy-two percent (72%) of home buyers who found virtual tours helpful actually drove by or looked at a home they found online with Virtual Tours.

According to Realty Times, 93% of home-buyers are turning to the Internet to look at homes.

Traffic on real estate websites jumped 8% in the past year - doubling the growth rate of Internet traffic overall, according to comScore Media Metrix.

Realty Times reported that "virtual tour making takes skilled professionals" and that "Produced unprofessionally, [bad photography can harm a listing."

The Virtual Tour Summit presents a tested and proven business model driven by proven technology and backed by proven results. Entrepreneurs at the Virtual Tour Summit will get a jump-start in the online virtual tour real estate business and continuing guidance by experts. The trainers at the Summit are experienced in every aspect of the business and most are currently operating a successful real estate photography business.

Scott Slinkard, owner of HouseViewOnline.com, will teach attendees the ins and outs of the Virtual Tour Machine (VTM), the virtual tour software he created in 1999.

Bo Bickley, owner of St. Louis Showcase since 2000, will show Summit participants how to get the most from Photoshop, provide tips and tricks on how to automate the work, and how to plan and organize.

Kelly Thomas, who founded SIHomeTours in 2000 and KYTours.com in 2002, will demonstrate how to make effective presentations to real estate agents and how to advertise your business on a shoestring budget.

Melissa Coons, a photographer for SIHomeTours, will advise attendees on the best way to photograph a property.

Other businesses will be on hand at the Summit to provide support services and information during the Summit. Floyd Jerkins, founder of Jerkins Creative Consulting will lead a session on increasing sales, gaining market share and running a more efficient and profitable operation. Exhibits and demonstrations will also be presented by Realtor.com and others.

Everyone attending the Virtual Tour summit will get their own Virtual Tour Machine, a $5,000 value, which streamlines the process of creating the virtual tour and displaying it on your web site. A few of the things the Virtual Tour Machine does is build the tours, allow fast and easy editing of the listings, it updates agent and agency listing pages, creates invoices, manages banner advertising, and helps keep listing information current.

Ticket price for the Summit is $8,500.00 but an early bird special ticket is available for $7,650.00 until midnight, Aug 29, 2006. No more than 30 tickets will be sold.
