Edward Hancock II Schedules Two Book Signings for October 2006

Multimedia entertainment retail chain will play host to prominent East Texas author on October 21st and October 28th 2006, as they celebrate the success of his book, "In The Breath of God," which was released earlier this year.

Gilmer, TX (PRWEB) August 19, 2006 -- The reviews are in, and fans are excited by the recent release of Edward Hancock II’s new novel, "In The Breath of God" (ISBN 1-4241-1377-6). The novel was released earlier this year and has earned its author something he says, “... is more precious than royalty checks.” It has afforded Hancock the chance to meet with many fans to discuss the future of his writing and, in particular, the Mendez series.

Now, Hasting’s Entertainment, a nationwide multimedia entertainment retailer, has agreed to host a book signing for Edward on October 21, 2006, at its Longview store, located at 405 NW Loop 281, Oak Forest Plaza - Suite 2. The event will be held from 5 to 9 in the evening and the public is encouraged to attend. Hasting’s Entertainment will have the honor of being the first company to join Edward in celebrating the release of his newest novel. Hastings Entertainment has also agreed to hold a second book signing on October 28, 2006 at its Tyler location. The event will run from 5 to 8 in the evening.

Drawing heavily from his own life experiences with a severe physical disability, Edward has fashioned a villain that is as contradictory as the man who created him. A frail, skinny, seemingly unimposing young boy with Spina Bifida couldn’t be responsible for multiple murders, including that of several relatives and friends, could he? Well, as Edward so eloquently allows the characters to discover, “disabled people commit crimes too.” And, as we learn, nothing is impossible for those inhabiting the worlds inside Edward Hancock II’s imagination.

“There’s a lot of me in these characters,” Edward likes to say. “Not just disabled Scott Bryan. In many ways, Alex Mendez is the ‘me’ I never got to be.”
