The company's owner and designer, as well as published writer on the subject of handcrafted jewelry, Gretta Van Someren, has chosen this strategy as a way to usher in a new era for her work.

Why the change? Since the launch of Pizzazz Creations™ in 1999, Gretta’s talents as a musician, artist and poet were reflected under one company name to encompass all of her creative endeavors. In 2002, Gretta decided to focus her energies where her main passion lies, in jewelry design, and has since been in pursuit of a more befitting business name to represent her product line. In August of 2006, Attérg™ [a-tterzh, an inversion of Gretta's own name, was born of this pursuit.
