In a classic “don’t let this happen to you” example of what seems like a daily onslaught of security breaches, the University of Kentucky announced in June of this year that a faculty member in the School of Human Environmental Services reported a USB flash memory drive was stolen from his office. The most shocking revelation about this theft was that he believed this drive contained the records of up to 6500 present and former students that enrolled in his courses from 1988 through 2006.
