Vertigo Films Appointed to Work with Hyde Consulting as Film Adviser for Pacific Continental’s Film Opportunities Fund

The Film Opportunities Fund which is managed by Pacific Continental Fund Management has appointed London-based film production company Vertigo to work alongside corporate financial advisers Hyde Consulting on the fund. The team will help the Film Opportunities Fund to identify suitable motion picture investment opportunities.

(PRWEB) August 24, 2006 -- Hyde Consulting will continue their role providing Pacific Continental Securities with sound financial and legal advice in the film selection process and Vertigo Films will offer combined years of experience and an informed perspective of the film industry to The Film Opportunities Fund.

Launched in 2002 by Alan Niblo, Rupert Preston, Nick Love, and James Richardson, the Vertigo team has produced, written, directed, and worked behind the camera and have a number of successful films to their credit. Their films include ‘Kiss Kiss (Bang Bang)’, cult classics ‘Chasing Amy’, and ‘Buffalo 66’, and BAFTA nominees ‘Human Traffic’ and ‘South West Nine’ to name a few. Vertigo Films has received recent recognition for the film ‘Dirty Sanchez: the Movie’ which is based on the popular MTV UK show.

Vertigo and Hyde Consulting will enable the Film Opportunities Fund to identify and access a wider pool of films for investment. Gap Finance gives investors the potential for low risk capital growth from an asset class uncorrelated to other investments.

Hyde Consulting is comprised of a team of chartered accountants, solicitors, and marketing experts with vast experience in mergers and acquisitions, marketing and business strategy development, funding solutions, and corporate law.

The Pacific Continental Film Opportunities Fund was launched in February 2005 and invests in gap finance for film. It aims to deliver a fixed return from debt finance which is not dependent on the underlying success of the feature film. It has delivered total returns of 20.74% since inception.
